OVERVIEW & ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Position

Working on a nuclear project implementing and managing the company’s RISK management system for both Business and Project Specific NEC EEC Contract.

Responsibilities

  • The identification, analysis, mitigation and reporting of project risks arising out of the NEC 3 contract upstream with the client and downstream with supply chain
  • Management of RISK taking cognizance of EWN administration under the NEC ECC Contract model through:
  • Fully auditable and transparent process
  • Clear and concise RISK management in line with contract documents
  • Eliminate errors / discrepancies / misunderstandings
  • Reduction in potential for claims
  • Clear identification of contract obligations and associated processes within the Risks
  • Strategies to maximise the efficiency of the RISK mitigation
  • Identification of key programme , cost and resources RISKS issues to enable the
  • Effective management of change in terms of time and cost
  • Optimisation of outcomes via pro-active risk management
  • Development of Risk Management Plan with schedule, risk reduction actions, approvals and endorsements, follow-ups and compliance reviews
  • Identifying risk scenarios associated with engineering, construction and operation, including but not limited to risks related to safety, health, the environment, labour relations and financial impact
  • Identification, evaluation of actions and scenarios through establishment of:
  • Risk matrix (probability-impact)
  • Severity classes, Frequency classes, Risk treatment actions, Monitoring risk reduction actions, Elimination of hazard source, Reduction of likelihood, mitigation of consequences, Control the impact
  • Emergency response and recovery systems
  • Plans for conducting final HAZOPs based on Preliminary Design Review
  • Reporting of completion of actions by a tracking system communicated in a close-out report
  • Managing the risk profile of the project through the risk register and reporting to the Project Director

The Person

  • Extensive Experience of RISK Management under NEC ECC
  • Contractual, relevant project experience in appropriate industry on EPC projects.
  • Familiar with common industry risk management processes and tools.
  • Nuclear experience

Desirable

  • Risk Practitioner
  • Knowledge of BS11000 Collaborative Business Relationships

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
